This is Robert Englund. If you aren't familiar with Mr. Englund I suggest that you turn off your computer and hit it with a hammer thereby rendering it useless. The reason I suggest this is that I want to make sure you never come to this site again. Seriously, you don't belong here.

For those of you still here, click this LINK. Take a moment and look at his body of work very carefully. Let the enormity of it sink in. The variety of work this man has done is phenominal. I'm not just talking about the amount either. Look at the names. His work on TV alone is staggering. He was on MacGyver for God's sake. He was also the devil in an episode of Married with Children. That's what we call versitility folks. Anyway, Robert Englund, Mr. Freddy Krueger himself was kind enough to play 20 questions with us.

1. I once read somewhere that Tim Curry feels that playing Dr. Frank in Rocky Horror forever typecast him and in essence kind of ruined his career. Do you ever feel that way about Freddy?

No.

2. You recently starred in 'Zombies Strippers'. One of your co-stars was Tito Ortiz. Was his head as big in person as it looks on the screen, or was it a case of the camera adding 10 pounds?

The camera definitely adds 10 pounds

3. On average how many sexually explicit letters with accompanying nude photographs do you get from Goth girls every week?

Those requests come in person, or my wife, who answers my mail, is shielding me from them.

4. What, in your opinion, is the most over rated movie of all time?

GHOST

5. The Beatles or the Rolling Stones?

Rolling Stones.

6. I see they're bringing V back. Do they even try to explain why the aliens look old? You were lizards wearing fake human skins. Why would they make old-looking fake human skins?

The last project I heard about was a remake of the original with young actors.

7. Would you have given up acting to have been a pro surfer?

I was an actor before I was a surfer so my first allegiance was always to acting.

8. Speaking of V: Did Michael Ironside ever seem like he might freak out and try to kill you? He seems like that sort of guy.

Michael saved my face and career after a stunt accident on V. He took me to Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon to have the wound on my forehead stitched. Emergency rooms leave scars, plastic surgeons hide the stitches.

9. Was it slightly disappointing to have been on Charlie's Angels after Farrah Fawcett had left the show?

Oh no. I thought Cheryl Ladd was even more beautiful.

10. Have you ever said "fuck it" and walked off the set of a movie or tv show?

No. I am a working actor and a professional.

11. Your favorite black and white movie of all time?

Triple bill: Anatomy of a Murder, Roman Holiday, On the Waterfront.

12. Who and when was your first girlfriend?

I bought a ring for Cathy when I was in kindergarten. She looked like a five year old Becky Newton (Ugly Betty)

13. When the last time you were too drunk to drive?

The delightful thing about being on location in Italy is that I am provided with a driver.

14. Did you cry when they shot Old Yeller?

Yes. My college room mate was Kevin Corcoran, the boy who owned Old Yeller in the movie.

15. Would you rather lose your tongue or your eyes?

Tongue.

16. I love 'The Adventure's of Ford Fairlane'. I saw it twice in the theatre. What's Andrew Dice Clay like in person?

He is a teddy bear. I was in his trailer when he signed the papers for his first house; he was nervous as a newlywed.

17. 'The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries' to 'Zombie Strippers' and 'Soap' to 'V'? Has anyone covered more ground than you?

I am celebrating my 35th year making movies. Sure beats working.

18. Is there any role you turned down that in retrospect turned out to be a bad idea?

I've never turned down a role. I have had conflicting projects. For instance, i might have been under contract to do the TV series Hunter, which would have made me unavailable for V.

19. Do you ever sit and imagine how thing's would of turned out if you would have gotten the role of Luke Skywalker?

I was never up for the role of Luke Skywalker.

20. Are you a stereotypical Californian?

I am proud to a third generation Californio. It is the out of state people who move here who embrace the stereotypes -- astrology, bogus health fads, extreme political correctness and conspicuous consumption.
